The Legacy Pearl & Scroll Gold Ring was made for the grandmother whose mother wore pearls every day of her life — who inherited a pearl necklace but never a ring.
A single AAA freshwater pearl — round, 6 to 7 millimeters, warm luster — sits at the top of a gold-plated band. On each shoulder, hand-engraved scrollwork curls up from the band toward the setting. The scrolls are Edwardian in feel — symmetrical, deeply cut, matched side to side. 18k gold plating over sterling silver. The engravings frame the pearl without competing with it.
When I imagine you wearing it, I imagine brushing your hair at night. You catch sight of the pearl in the mirror between brushstrokes. You remember your mother brushing hers in the same mirror, wearing the necklace. You decide to call your daughter in the morning.
