The Keepsake Urn (Tree of Life) was made for the woman who finds the teardrop too simple — and who wants a symbol with deeper roots. Tree of life for the parent she lost, the grandparent who raised her, the one whose whole life was the ground beneath hers.
A round sterling silver disc, about 5 centimeters across, engraved with a tree-of-life motif — branches spreading in a circle from a central trunk. Behind the face, a sealed ash compartment. Screw-top closure at the top edge. The tree is worn face-out, the compartment sits flat against the skin.
When I imagine you wearing it, I imagine the first Mother's Day after your mother died. You're in the church pew. Your hand is on the engraved tree through your sweater. You don't sing the hymn. You just hold your hand there until the song ends.
