The Story of This Piece

The Legacy Ring (Mother's Heart) was made for the mother whose own mother gave her a heart-shaped piece decades ago that she lost in a move — and who has been looking for the echo of it ever since.

A heart-cut lab emerald, 5 to 8 millimeters, sits prong-set on a thin delicate gold-plated band. The heart shape is softer and more openly sentimental than an oval. The emerald's green pulls warm against the gold. 18k gold plating over sterling silver. The band is 1.5 millimeters — almost thread-thin.
