The Story of This Piece

The Legacy Pendant (Birth Month) was made for the woman who wants to wear her granddaughter's birth month — or her own — without any other narrative attached. Just the color. Just the stone.

A single lab birthstone, 6 to 8 millimeters, sits in a simple bezel or four-prong setting on a delicate cable chain. One stone, one month, no ornament competing with it. Available in all twelve monthly stones — garnet, amethyst, aquamarine, diamond, emerald, pearl, ruby, peridot, sapphire, opal, topaz, turquoise.

When I imagine you wearing it, I imagine a December morning. You catch the turquoise stone in the bathroom mirror on your way out of the bedroom. You remember the exact sound of the baby's first cry. You don't mention it to anyone. You put your coat on.
